We step back a few years to the beginning of the Ford Escort timeline with this release of the Mk 1 in a racy Daytona yellow colour scheme with contrasting silver and black exterior trim. The interior is moulded in tan with black dashboard and steering wheel. Ford launched the Mk 1 Ford Escort in 1967 when it was classed as a small family car. UK manufacture centred on Ford’s Dagenham and Halewood plants. Features included rear wheel drive, four speed manual gearbox or 3-speed automatic.
